Wildlife and Planning

The first purpose of the National Park Authority is to ensure that the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of the protected landscape is conserved. As the local planning authority, the Dartmoor National Park Authority has an obligation to ensure that development is appropriate to the National Park and that it does not damage the special landscape and wildlife around us.
