| Services Provided | Our Centre staff have good local knowledge and will be happy to help you to make the most of your visit to the Dart valley and Dartmoor generally. We stock a range of maps, trail guides and guide books plus a range of other useful merchandise. The centre is at the heart of the Dart valley and is an ideal starting point for exploring this beautiful river. Nearby Spitchwick is a popular spot for summer picnics and bathing. The area is extremely busy on sunny bank holiday weekends and is best avoided if you are seeking a peaceful experience. Parking is limited at this location and there are regular traffic warden patrols. In the winter the often fast flowing white water is popular with members of the British Canoe Union. There are basic public toilet facilities. |
