Travelling by Coach

If you are planning to bring a coach onto Dartmoor please use the Coach Drivers' Handbook as your guide. With steep, narrow and windy roads navigation by coach can be difficult . The Handbook provides you with a map showing recomended routes for coaches and highlights particular problem areas where traffic regulation orders prevent access by large vehicles.

Travel with Moor Care

Dartmoor may look wild and rugged but in reality it is extremely fragile.  Erosion and general 'over use' particularly at peak periods damages the very fabric of the moor. As more and more people travel across and around the moor every year the pressure is increasing.  If you can travel around by means other than the car then please do so . Find out how you can help by Travelling with Moor Care.
