A day to discover Dartmoor’s past with FREE activities such as dig boxes, medieval games, story telling, face painting, Morris dancing, quizzes and walks for all the family. Plus demonstrations of historic skills such as flint knapping and pot moulding and a vintage bus to help you get around. There will also be a finds surgery led by Tom Cadbury – Curator of Archaeology RAMM including Identification and handling. History and Wildlife along the Templer Way. Come and explore the Yarner Wood section of the Templer Way walking down hill from Green Lane to Lower Down and across to Trendlebere Down. Please come prepared for a 2 hour walk. Meet at Bovey Tracey Union Square catching the Haytor Hoppa, at 14:35 getting back at 17:45.
