Design Guidance

Work has commenced on the production of the Design Guide, which will form part of the National Park Authority’s Local Development Framework and have the status of a Supplementary Planning Document.

The design guidance will set down the standard of design expected within the National Park and will seek to integrate the principles of sustainable construction with those of high quality and locally distinctive design.

Stride Treglown Planning and Architecture Practice have been appointed by the National Park Authority as consultants to prepare the Design Guide.  On 14 November 2008 a stakeholder consultation event was held, the evaluation report of which can be found below.

The draft Design Guide is currently being produced and this is expected to be made available to the public for consultation in spring 2010.
