To help with the consideration of design solutions before submitting your application, we have produced a series of six short, easy to read leaflets, offering guidance on appropriate design and materials.

Although these leaflets only offer informal advice, it is hoped that you will find them helpful in the short term. In due course, it is intended that they will be replaced by more comprehensive advice on sustainable design as part of the Local Development Framework.
Advice on Plans & Drawings
This leaflet offers advice on what should be included in your drawings and plans to be submitted with your application. It explains how to work to a metric scale and contains illustrations showing good examples of elevations and other drawings.
