Drainage and Flood Related Matters
Flood Risk Zones (FRZ's)
Flood Risk Matrix and Standing Advice information is available at;
www.pipernetworking.com/floodrisk/index.html (external link, opens in new window)
Details of Flood Risk Zones are available on a map base via the Environment Agency's website;
http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk (external link, opens in new window) (use the postcode search facility on the right hand side of their page)
Note: If a site lies within FRZ3, then a full Flood Risk Assessment will be required and should be submitted with your planning application if new development is proposed. Failure to do so could cause a delay in processing your application or its refusal if not resolved. For further information please contact John Wardle of the Environment Agency by telephone on 01392 316174 or by email at john.wardle@environment-agency.gov.uk.
Foul Drainage
If foul drainage will be disposed of via septic tank, private treatment plant or cesspool, please complete the Environment Agency's 'Foul Drainage Assessment Form' (external link, opens in new window) and submit this with your planning application.
