Instructions for using the Interactive Map Search
The interactive map displays the National Park with main settlements, roads and all Planning Applications shown in red. The map scale can be altered by using the plus and minus buttons. If a button is chosen it will turn red. Next, click on the region of the map you wish to enlarge. The map view can be repositioned using the
directional arrows around the edge of the map.
Placenames or postcodes can be used to change the map display in addition to the navigation buttons. Simply type in the placename or postcode (with no space eg PL226QF) in the search box and press Go
| This will move the map to the required settlement or postcode. | |
The application reference if known (eg 1234/05) can alternatively be used to change the map display. Simply press the drop down arrow next to the word Places, choose PlanApps, fill in the search box with the application reference and press Go
| This will move the map to the chosen application and shade it in with a red cross hatch. | |
Once the desired planning application is displayed on screen the application forms and drawings submitted by the applicant can be viewed by pressing the
button and choosing the relevant hyperlink from the on screen list.
Please note that you can only link to the documents for planning cases back to 2004. If you wish to view documents relating to cases earlier than 2004 you should contact the Development Management Service to arrange an appointment to come to the offices and view the documents.
