The National Park Authority has a statutory duty to promote the understanding and enjoyment of the area’s special qualities and so this lies at the heart of the Education Service work.
We are here to help all those visiting and using Dartmoor for formal or informal educational purposes. This includes youth and schools groups as well as individual students, teachers and group leaders. The Service can help by providing advice and information on any aspects of the Dartmoor environment ranging from its natural to its cultural heritage, the different land uses past and present, as well as the work of the National Park Authority itself.
