The Webburn Sector contains much enclosed land with a network of lanes and public rights of way as well as some areas of stunning open moorland with a wealth of archaeological remains. Hound Tor is popular with walkers, and you can visit the fascinating deserted medieval settlement nearby. From Hound Tor you can see the rock stack known as Bowerman’s Nose. Grimspound is a much more ancient settlement on the western flank of Hameldon, between Hameldown Tor and Hookney Tor, and dating from prehistoric times. Lustleigh cleave offers walks through a steep sided river valley amongst beautiful native woodland.
