The Teign Sector is very different in character, in as much as it has very little open moorland. This sector wraps around the east side of Dartmoor, following the Teign valley. Much of the land is farmland and privately owned, but there are plenty of footpaths and bridleways to follow. The woodlands at Steps Bridge, on the River Teign, are popular, especially at daffodil time. The three reservoirs above Hennock are also surrounded by beautiful woodland walks.
