The landmark of Brentor Church can be seen from most of this sector, which stretches from the outskirts of Tavistock to Princetown. From the heights of Great Mis Tor you can see southwards as far as Plymouth Sound, with the remains of Foggintor Quarry closer at hand and the vastness of the north moor behind you. Stone from Foggintor was used for many well known buildings in London. The Sector comprises enclosed farmland, criss-crossed by a network of public rights of way, and stunning open moorland, with a wealth of archaeological remains.
