Found in open woods, hedgebanks and shady places.  Flowers April-June; blue, white or pink in colour.  Height up to 50cm.

Found in open woods and on grassy banks.  Flowers March-May; pale yellow or occasionally pink in colour.  Height up to 20cm.

Found in damp woods, old pastures and riversides.  Flowers February-May; pale yellow in colour.  Height up to 35cm.

Found in damp woods, by streams and planted elsewhere.  Flowers January-April; white in colour.  Height up to 20cm.

Found in woodlands.  Flowers March-May; white in colour.  Height up to 30cm.
