Action for Wildlife Project
This is a project in support of biodiversity and the Dartmoor Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP).
The aim of this project is to maintain and enhance the wildlife resource of Dartmoor resulting in enhanced conditions for BAP species and habitats.
The project scope will be to encourage and support land managers, communities and visitors to take practical action to enhance and enjoy Dartmoor's biodiversity in a sustainable way. The expecteed beneficiaries will be residents, land managers, businesses and visitors to Dartmoor, and Dartmoor's BAP habitats and species.
The Project Partners are the Dartmoor National Park Authority, English Nature, Environment Agency and Duchy of Cornwall, and external funding is used wherever possible to support and expand project work.
This project follows work carried out in a separate feasibility study, Dart Biodiversity Project (1998-2001) and its Evaluation Report.
