The State of Farming on Dartmoor 2002
This summary report was commissioned from the Centre for Rural Research, Exeter University (2002) by the Dartmoor National Park Authority to provide base-line information on the state of farming on Dartmoor in the year 2000, to inform policy and decision making, and to recommend future action and underpin resource bids to improve the local hill farming economy.

The Nature of Dartmoor - A Biodiversity Profile
Published by the Dartmoor National Park Authority and English Nature (now Natural England) in 1997 with a second edition in 2001, The Nature of Dartmoor describes and evaluates the wildlife and geology of the Dartmoor Natural Area and proposes key objectives for nature conservation and earth sciences. These are taken forward with the addition of targets and action plans in Action for Wildlife: The Dartmoor Biodiversity Action Plan which was published in 2001 as a linked document.
