Young Artists at Dartmoor Centre
A new exhibition inspired by the beauty of the Dartmoor landscape has opened at Dartmoor National Park Authority’s High Moorland Visitor Centre in Princetown.
| Greg Ramsden, Adam Bunce and Ben Yates are talented young artists living and working in Devon. Their work interprets the Dartmoor landscape in greatly differing and refreshing styles. Adam Bunce’s work is stunning, vivid and sometimes abstract, portraying the landscape in dreamlike images. Greg Ramsden uses oils and natural elements to create his work, sometimes leaving work outside to face heavy rains, strong winds and bitter frosts. He even uses fire to produce work that communicates a strong atmosphere of the place portrayed. Ben Yates is an accomplished photographer whose highly original three dimensional works are a combination of his photographic images with cubic sculpture.

Their work has been exhibited widely in the south west including during the Devon Artist Network Open Studio Event 2007. The exhibition at the High Moorland Visitor Centre runs until 25 June 2008. The High Moorland Visitor Centre opens daily 10 am until 5 pm. Princetown is accessible by public transport. For timetable enquiries please telephone Traveline on 0871 200 22 33.

Celebrating food, farming and the landscape, Dartmoor National Park Authority’s main summer season exhibition is the result of collaboration between Dartmoor National Park Authority’s Hill Farm Project and a group of Dartmoor farmers.
